What is a Trigger Control Group Travel ReducerThe Trigger Control Group Travel Reducer is a drop-in part that is designed to reduce the travel of an AR-15 hammer as it is being cycled by the bolt. Our testing and experience has shown that reduced travel of the hammer results in less travel of the hammer spring, which increases its life-span, making the AR-15 more reliable and protecting your investment. Read the FAQ "How can I determine whether my specific firearm will benefit from the TCGTR?" to make sure your firearm will work with the TCGTR.
Which firearms does the TCGTR work with?In general, the TCGTR works well with AR-15s that have the same specs as our test firearm, which is a Bushmaster XM-15 M4-A2. We've had good reports of this kit working with DPMS, S&W M&P 15, Olympic Arms, and other AR-15s that have the same Lower specifications as the Bushmaster XM-15 M4-A2.
The TCGTR does not currently work with Rock River Arms AR-15s (different depth inside the Lower), Colt M-4s (channel between hammer and rear take-down pin has a divider - the channel is not clear), Stag (rear take-down block is deeper, which can be smithed to work, and disconnector does not travel far enough downward), and other AR-15s that do not have the same Lower specifications as the Bushmaster XM-15 M4-A2.

How is the TCGTR installed in an AR-15?Before installing or removing the TCGTR, always clear your firearm.
DO NOT INSTALL OR REMOVE THE TCGTR UNTIL YOU ARE SURE THE FIREARM IS UNLOADED!
The TCGTR is a drop-in part that is easily installed by simply pushing out the rear Takedown Pin, pivoting the Upper up and off the Lower, dropping in the TCGTR at the rear of the Lower so that the front of it rests on the Disconnector (it will only install one way), pivoting the Upper back onto the Lower, and reinserting the rear Takedown Pin.
The process takes approximately 5 seconds.
To remove the TCGTR, simply follow the same process to pull out the TCGTR.
What methods of payment are accepted for purchase of the TCGTR?After careful consideration, we have decided not to accept checks or credit or debit cards, due to the added fees that each of these payment methods imposes on us. Currently we accept only Money Orders made out to TCGTR, LLC with ALL Payor (From: field) information left blank.
If you send a method of payment that does not meet these strict requirements, we will promptly return your order form and method of payment without processing your order.
This is the way we have chosen to do business at this time.
